Musiq Concrete & nouveau don't do London weather predictions but if they did, they'd go something like this - A tropical blue ether awaits a glistening variety of shades gazing up at its magnificence. The sun, whilst boldly present and smiling, will sympathetically caress us to a cool 25oC (which is the scientifically agreed ideal temperature for getting one's groove on). At 22.00 there will be a cool breeze and very fine mist of a precipitation, just enough to correct wonky eyes and dry lips before we unconsciously slip into a repetitive bounce of tribal funkyness and after hours banter...
Alas, all this waffle about sun, precipitation and the ether is out of our hands, but what we can guarantee on August 20th, is a marathon 12 hour party at East London's clubland gem - CARGO. It's been a few months since we last took over the floor with Gavin Herlihy which was widely received as a complete blast, and a most definite road block! Amazing production coupled with 6 hours of absolutely fantastic sounds gave us no choice but to return to Cargo for our next Musiq Concrete & nouveau session.
Our marathon 12 hour party will be starting off nice and chilled, with flaming hot coals where you can grab a bite before the work starts, remember - Cargo is free before 22.00, this will be another road block so get there on time, shades on, feet ready to avoid disappointment!
Let's be honest though, it's not the B.B.Q that's getting you all hot under the collar, it's - Anthea! A DJette who has consistently and relentlessly smashed her way through a growing repertoire of nocturnal hot spots including Circoloco, Panorama Bar, Ibiza's Underground & Space and Fabric. Not least because she has managed to hone a style which varies between house and techno, a sound which is seductively deep, tribal, bassline fuelled yet always sweetly funk-driven and is widely received as cutting edge.
**OUR LAST PARTY AT CARGO HIT CAPACITY BY 11.30PM SO ADVANCED TICKETS ARE ADVISED**
